Cask'n Flagon

If a bar can handle 200+ UC Berkeley and Stanford Alumni with as much ease as this place did, they also deserve 4 stars! If I ever need to plan a game viewing party again, Cask n Flagon not only had the network we needed for our game (stupid comcast vs. direct tv feud, get over yourselves so us sports fans can watch our games!!!) but they made planning an event for 200 people one of the easiest things I have ever done!

AND the price was simply mind shattering. I worked with Mike, one of the managers there, and we gave him a free Cal Alumni Group tshirt at the end and an extra tip because he was phenomenal. He not only planned pretty much everything for the event--the food, the space, the sound, the bar tenders--but he also was able to find some extra food last minute when we started running out to accommodate our extra hungry crowd for hardly any extra money!

Their back nightclub area is perfect for a large viewing party. There are big projection screens, and an awesome sound system that we were able to play our fight song on and everything, and I actually heard from everyone there that their food they provided for the event was way better than they were expecting from a place known simply as a sports bar. I wish that the drinks were a little cheaper here, and their pitcher prices are a little steep, but this place handled our big rival football game event and for that, they deserve 4 stars, hands down.

Oh and p.s. Mike, the manager, was cheering for UC Berkeley to beat Stanford, and Berkeley won, so that made it even sweeter!! GO BEARS!
